This is the magic of copywriting – words that are not just made for reading, but for taking action.

 What is Copywriting?

In simple language – copywriting is selling words.

Be it a Facebook ad, Google ad or landing page → your words decide whether the customer will click or skip.

🔑 Rule No.1 – Focus on the hook

You scroll through WhatsApp or Insta reels, right? 👆

You skip everything, but catch one line or one thumbnail.

In copywriting, that is what is called a hook.

Examples 👇

❌ “Get the best skincare cream.” (boring)

✅ “90% Indians are making THIS skincare mistake. Are you one of them?” (hooky)

Hook = attention grabber. If the opening is weak, the audience will never stop scrolling.

Customers don’t need the features of the product… they need to solve their problem.

While writing an ad copy or landing page, imagine that you are talking to a single friend.

Conversation style > Corporate style.

Write like you chat with friends on Whatsapp.

📲 Rule No.5 – Short & Punchy

Landing page or ad copy long essays are not hot.

Short, crisp, to-the-point.

Example:

❌ “We are providing services to make your life easier by ensuring you have everything delivered on time.”

✅ “Do you want life easy? We will deliver – on time, every time.”

No one reads any long text on Whatsapp, the same applies to ads and landing page.

🧠 Rule No.6 – Show Social Proof

People don’t make decisions on their own, they see what others are saying.

Eg:

👉 “Rated ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on Google by 500+ customers.”

Building trust = increasing conversion.

🚦 Rule No.7 – Call To Action (CTA)

Last step of copy = tell the audience what to do.

Ad without CTA is like the last scene of a movie getting cut.

CTA should always be action-oriented and urgent.

See? Ad’s job is to get attention, Landing Page’s job is to convince and convert.

Use of AI Tools – Copy ideas from tools like ChatGPT, then give it a human touch.

Regional Language Copy – Hindi, Tamil, Bengali ads connect more with local audiences.

Storytelling Ads – Tell a short story in which the product becomes the hero.

 Common Mistakes to Avoid

Write only about the product, ignore the customer’s benefits.

Put 4-5 CTAs in a single ad (confusion).
